Nick is the FIRAS Manager for Warringtonfire. He has been in the role since 2016 but has previously been in the passive fire protection industry since 1996.
He originally started off as an installer of passive fire products. He has always worked for FIRAS certified companies, which has given him a greater understanding of the importance and requirements of third party certification, and specifically in FIRAS certification.
The FIRAS scheme promotes good practice for the installation and maintenance of passive fire protection products and requires the use of quality assurance methods in procedures, competence, and documentation to ensure that appropriate quality control is being carried out and documented by the certified company.
Nick finds the most satisfying aspect of his role to be leading a team of excellent inspectors.
