Adam is the laboratory manager for our fire resistance sector within Warringtonfire. Based at our High Wycombe site, he’s responsible for the day-to day operations of the UKAS accredited facilities.

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Adam has honed a deep expertise in passive fire protection. Beginning his career in civil engineering, he quickly expanded his skill set across various construction techniques before dedicating the past 12 years to fire resistance testing and research.

 

Industry Experience

His journey began with Chiltern International Fire, followed by BM TRADA and Warringtonfire, where Adam developed a profound understanding of fire resistance protocols and testing standards. After joining the industry as a Laboratory Technician, Adam advanced rapidly to the position of Laboratory Manager in under five years. In this role, he managed a team of technical officers, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality test reports and services for both domestic and international clients. His leadership ensures that the technical requirements of clients are met with precision, whilst maintaining rigorous industry standards and operational efficiency.

In January 2023, Adam took on the additional role of Operational Client Manager, assisting clients throughout their journey with testing and certification. In this capacity, he offers expert guidance, ensuring clients navigate the complexities of fire resistance testing with ease and confidence, from initial enquiry to final certification.

Adam is skilled in all aspects of fire resistance testing, from project management and client liaison to the development of innovative testing programs. He is also an advocate for continuous improvement within the department, leveraging Lean methodology and process enhancements to ensure ongoing technical and procedural advancements. Adam plays a crucial role in staff development, leading training programs to ensure the team remains at the forefront of industry standards and practices.
