Rescue 29 takes 2nd Place at County Parade

June 10, 2006

Rescue 29 and Battalion 29 participated in the 2006 Bucks County Fireman's Parade. Rescue 29 took second place in the Heavy Rescue Division. The members spent many nights cleaning, polishing and painting the truck and equipment. The Ladies Auxiliary provided dinner for the crews working Friday night. This was the first year in recent memory that a rig from Warrington won a trophy at a County Parade. Thanks to all the members that gave their time to this event. We received many comments on what a great job you all did on the truck!!

Annual Fire Company Banquet

June 2, 2006

The members celebrated the year with the Annual Banquet. Awards were given out and many danced the night away. The Ladies Auxiliary was also recognized for their work during the last year. The Township supervisors were on hand to enjoy the evening with us. The members had a very special surprise for Chief Harvey, Deputy Malinowski, and Battalion Chief Hinkle. Each was given a custom hand painted gold shields for their helmets. The members took up a collection and designed and paid for these. The Chiefs were very thankful of their gifts and gratefully accepted them. Our thanks to Chief Simon and the crew of Ladder Company 8 and Chief Murphy and the crew of Engine Company 95 for covering the Township for us during the night.

Warrington Township Memorial Day Service

May 29, 2006

Warrington Fire Company No. 1 participated in the annual Memorial Day Service at the Township Veterans Memorial. They joined the Veterans, the Police Honor Guard, and the Ambulance in the laying of the wreath. The officers and members would like to remember all that have given the ultimate sacrifice and  to help protect our country and we thank those who are currently serving. To the member of the 111th Fighter Wing who approached us after the service to thank us for our service; "We were honored to have a member of the armed forces say that to us and will forever be remembered."

We would like to send a special thanks to Marine Sergeant Jake Jones who is serving our Country.

Engine and Ladder Drill

May 20, 2006

Engine 29, Squad 78, Rescue 29 and Ladder 29 participated in a drill at a house donated by a local developer. This provided an excellent opportunity for our members to practice their skills. We focused on Engine and Truck operations which allowed everyone to gain some time on the tip and the roof. Our thanks to the donation of the house and to the Auxiliary for a fine lunch served back at the Station.

Choose Booze You Loose Drill

May 17, 2006

Rescue 29 and Engine 29 participated in the second annual "Choose Booze You Loose" rescue drill at Central Bucks South High School. The exercise is designed to show students the dangers of drinking and driving. A two car accident was staged with multiple patients and fatalities. The Department was assisted by Warrington, Central Bucks, and Newtown Ambulance, and Warrington Police Department.

1st Dinner and a Move Night

May 12, 2006

The members of the Department held their first "Dinner and a Movie Night." They had a BBQ cookout and then watched some fire film from the past. The idea behind the event was to get together with the members and help reinforce our "Brotherhood." We had all of our Junior members attend which allowed them to get acquainted with other members and learn a little about " Old School Firefighting". This event was a huge success and will be held again a few times a year.

Saturday March 19, 2006

Our first Junior and Probie drill of the year was held at C.B. South. The topic was hose management and basic Engine Operations. Thanks to all that came out and we look forward to see you all at the next one.
