Squad 78 on FDMT Job December 23, 2007 Squad 78 (FF A.Groman) assisted FDMT with a working dwelling fire. Squad 78 was dispatched @ 14:22 to 402 Lenox Court. A 2.5 story middle of the row had heavy fire and smoke showing upon arrival of the Montco units. The crew went to work with overhaul on the exterior of the dwelling. Heavy fire consumed the unit with no extension to either exposure. They were available at 15:30.

December 20, 2007 Members of the Warrington Fire Company attended the "Firefighter Scared Straight Seminar" at Station 29. The Bucks County Fire Chief's and Firefighters association sponsored the event and was attended by more than 160 firefighter from across the county. Thanks to Chief Goldfeder for taking time afterward to talk with the members and pose for a photo with us. As always it was a great class with many, many lessons learned. Rubbish Fire With Extension
December 15, 2007 Members of the Warrington Fire Company responded to a call on Timber Drive for a car fire. Units arrived and found a small rubbish fire that had extended to the rear of a SUV parked in the driveway. Quick work by 75PD extinguished the fire prior to our arrival preventing further damage.
Unit Citation Presentation
December 11, 2007 Members of the Warrington Fire Company, Hartsville Fire Company, Warrington Police Department, and Warrington Ambulance were presented Unit Citations for their efforts rescuing a trapped occupant at a house fire on November 18.The Board of Supervisors recognized the members for their efforts to successfully rescue the male occupant who was trapped on the second floor. With all the initial arriving Police , Fire and EMS units working as a team, they were able to locate the victim, throw two ladders and remove the resident. Congratulations to you all!!!!!
Santa Comes to Town
December 9, 2007 Members of the Warrington Fire Company and their families celebrated the Holidays at the annual Holiday Party. Santa Clause arrived and gave the kids a gift. Chief Hinkle presented the Top 10 for 2007, and Dennis Rubin's "Rube's Rules of Survival" to all the members, Jim Smith's "Strategic and Tactical Considerations on the Fireground" to the Chief Officers and Mike Terpak's "Fireground Size-Up" to the Company Officers. This is again a time for us all to celebrate the year and say "Thanks" to our volunteers. Special thanks to Dodi Boone-Harvey and her elves for helping put together a wonderful evening!
Accident in the Snow
On 12/6/2007 at 16:26 the Company was dispatched to 3400 Pickertown Road for a auto extrication. C29 (Hinkle) arrived to find a single vehicle accident with the vehicle off the roadway overturned on the drivers side. Driver was unable to extricate herself due to the position of the vehicle. Access was gained by taking out the rear window and unlocking the tailgate allowing the female driver to walk out of the vehicle. Rescue was recalled and Squad 78 arrived and provided scene light for the PD and duty tow.
Busy Day For 100% Volunteers December 4, 2007 Another cold day started off with a fuel spill at Street Rd. and 611. E-29 handled with oil dry for oil on the hi-way. About an hour later a working dwelling fire on Oak Ave. was dispatched. (See Below). During that MC L-95 handled and alarm at Valley Square, while covering the Township. E-29 and the Chief took in a dwelling fire in Warwick's' local at about 15:00.Warrington units were recalled when it was determined that the incident was related to the fireplace. At about 18:00 Ladder 29 went to Doylestown for a dwelling fire which turned out to be a heater problem. The day was capped off with a fire alarm at TGI Friday's handled by SQ-78 and L-29. Six calls in less than 8 hours handled by the Volunteers of the Warrington Township Fire Company #1 and their neighbors. First In Dwelling Fire on Oak Ave.
On 12/4/2007 at 13:22 Warrington Fire Company was dispatched to 542 Oak Ave. for a dwelling fire. BCFR reported a neighbor called 911 and said the house next door had flames coming from it. Initial dispatch was E-29,E78,L90,E93 and MC SQ-18 as the RIT. E-29 (Lt. Campbell) arrived with a 1.5 story single family dwelling with heavy smoke showing. They went in service to the first floor with a line. C-29 (Hinkle) arrived and set up command. L-90 (Lambert) arrived and went to the roof and began interior search and ventilation. E-93 (Capt. McDonald) dropped in to E-29. DC-93 (Mulelly) was assigned Operations. FM-275 was the Safety Officer. UT-29 and 78 arrived and assisted the first in crews. SS-93 was dispatched as the second RIT when MC SQ-18 was put to work along with MC E-15 on the back up line and opening up on the inside. Crews reported fire on the first floor with extension the attic. E-79 assisted on the roof and TW-66 formed a manpower pool behind E-29. M129 took care of rehab and 75 PD assisted with traffic control. Montco L-95 covered the Township at Station 29. Fire placed under control @ 13:56. The department was available @ 15:05 FM 275 (Lesniak) and FM 275-1 (Greenberg) are investigating. ANNUAL EVERGREEN TREE LIGHTING

Accident On Stump Road December 1, 2007 As the weather brought snow, sleet and rain to town, Rescue Box 78-34 was struck @ 10:24. A 1 vehicle roll over accident occurred in front of 724 Stump Road. Chief 29 arrived and determined the driver had self extricated herself and was complaining of minor pain and wanted to be checked out. Medic 134 arrived and transported to the hospital. Company dispatched at 10:41 for a automatic fire alarm at above address. BCFR upgraded to a Tactical Box based on call from inside store for smoke filling the store. BC-29 arrived and and found a light smoke condition that was reported to discipate when the lights were turned off prior to our arrival. C-29 arrived and found a smoke condition on Side "C" coming from the roof. E-29 took hydrant and interior. Warrington command established on Side "D" and a second ladder requested. Ladder 29 arrived and went in service with ground ladders. E79 assisted E-29 crew. Squad 78 to Hatboro Federal bank on side "D" and went in service with ground ladder to the roof . DC-29 took the interior and BC-29 took the roof. A fire was found in the RTU and power was secured. Fire was extinguished. Incident placed under control at 11:01. Negative extension the the interior. New Class "A" Prop Taking Shape December 1, 2007
The new burn prop at the Bucks County Public Safety Training Center is finally looking like a building. This is the latest view from atop the high rise building. Things are starting to take shape. We will keep you posted as work progresses. New 2008 Officers Sworn In

Judge Daily swore in all the new officers for 2008 at a ceremony at the Township building on November 27, 2007. Thanks to the Township for organizing the event which was attended by the department and their family members.

A Verizon crew installing fiber optic cable for Internet service ruptured a high-pressure natural gas line Tuesday, closing off a portion of a Warrington neighborhood to drivers and residents for several hours.
3 Runs To FDMT As our day started off with the job in the morning, we continued into the afternoon with 2 assist calls for dwelling fires and 1 for a vehicle rescue to the Fire Department of Montgomery Township. The dwelling fires were recalled and the pin job at Stump Road and County Line Road, was held to Squad 78 and FDMT Rescue 18. A vehicle crashed through a fence with a rail narrowly missing the occupants head when it ripped into the car.
Warrington's Bravest Make Rescue
On 11/18/2007 at 09:05 Warrington Fire Company was dispatched to 876 Mustang Road for a dwelling fire with entrapment. BCFR reported a bedroom fire with one subject trapped on the second floor. Initial dispatch was E-29,E78,L29,E93 and R19 as the RIT. BC-29 (Fuchs) arrived with a 2.5 story single family dwelling with medium smoke showing from the eves. He began a search along with 75 PD to locate the victim. C-29 (Hinkle) requested the assignment to be upgraded to a box. Additional companies were ML15, ME18 and TW66. E29 (Lt. Hochmuth) arrived and stretched a line to the front door and established a water supply to the hydrant. One FF from E29 went to the interior to assist BC29 for search and rescue. C-29 arrived and established Warrington Command. L29 ( Lt. Sandler) arrived and went in service with a ground ladder and removed the victim. Victim turned over to M129 and transported to Doylestown Hospital. C-93 (Velten) was assigned to the interior and DC-93 (Mullelly) was assigned to Operations. Squad 78 (Lt. Mancini) arrived and assisted L29's crew. 1224 set up rehab in front of E29. E93 (Capt. McDonald) arrived and assisted E29. R19 (Capt. Morris) arrived and set up as the RIT. DC-29(Bean) arrived and was assigned as Safety. ML-15 (DC Greenberg) arrived and was assigned to go to the roof and check for extension. BCFR covered Station 29 with R66 and L79. Fire placed under control @ 0932. The department was available @ 1135. FM 275 (Lesniak) was investigating. Excellent job by everyone on the box. Teamwork was the key to a successful outcome on this incident!!! Thanks to all the mutual aide chiefs and companies, the Ladies Auxiliary, the EMS crews, 75 PD for their efforts to locate the victim prior to our arrival, the dispatchers from Bucks County Fire Radio and the FM. To the members of the Warrington Fire Company you all should be proud of what you did today. You made a difference in somebody's' life and that is something to be very, very proud of!!!! Pin Job on Mill Creek Road
On 11/17/2007 at 16:57 the Company was dispatched to 412 Mill Creek Road for a auto extrication. C29 (Hinkle) arrived to find a single vehicle accident with the vehicle off the roadway overturned on the drivers side. Driver was unable to extricate herself due to the position of the vehicle. Squad 78 arrived and began stabilization. R29 and E29 arrived and went in service with junk yard dogs and flapped the roof. Patient removed and turned over to M134. Extrication complete @ 1721.
Annual Holiday Station Decorating Thanks to all the members and their families that came out today to decorate Station 29. It was a good time by all. The Holiday Spirit was in the air. Annual Physicals Completed The Department completed their annual physicals, on Tuesday Nov.,6 and Sat. Nov 10, for all the active fire brigade. These were conducted by Fire Med and coordinated by our Health and Safety Officer, Kim Hinkle. All members are required to have an annual physical based on NFPA standards. Thanks also to P.F. 11/10/07 @ 11:24 Hrs. Warrington F.C. was dispatched to a reported dwelling fire at 2745 Harvard Drive. BC-29 (Fuchs) arrived and found a rubbish fire burning next to the dwelling. E-29 (Lt. Hochmuth) stretched a booster line to extinguish. L-29 (B.Glessner) assisted with overhaul and checking for extension. Damage was contained to siding in the area of origin. 11/08/07 @ 17:59 Hrs. the department was dispatched for a dumpster fire at 700 Easton Road behind P.F. Chang's. Chief 29 (Hinkle) arrived to find a 40 yard dumpster fully involved with no exposures. Engine 29 (Lt. Hochmuth) arrived and went in service. Utility 78 (A.Groman) assisted the engine company. Accident with Wires Inside the Dwelling
11/06/07 @ 17:59 Hrs. Chief 29 (Hinkle) came across an accident in front of 3642 Bristol Road. A pick up truck struck a telephone poll and caused a power outage in the area and destroyed the pole. A Local Box was transmitted along with the ambulance. The two occupant had minor injuries. While attending to the two patients the homeowner came out of the house and reported that they had smoke in the house and an active fire alarm going off. Upon investigation a small fire was discovered in the electrical breaker box. The assignment was upgraded to a Tactical Box. Engine 29(Lt. Hochmuth), Squad 78 (Groman), Ladder 29 (Glessner) and Engine 19 (Wood) responded and found the fire had extinguished itself. PECO secured power to the dwelling and damage was found to be contained the the box and a few outlets. This was the second accident in front of this address in the past week. (See Below). Special thanks to AC 80 (Bernard) for stopping and helping out on his way home from work. Engine and Deputy Run Dwelling Fire 11/05/07 @ 00:58 Hrs. Warrington F.C. was alerted to respond to 1931 Mulberry Lane in Warwick Township for a dwelling fire. This brought Eng-29 (Sandler) and DC-29 (Bean) to the scene. Chief 66 (Dawicki) arrived on the scene to find a large two story occupied dwelling with heavy smoke throughout with a fire in the garage area. TW-66 arrived on the scene and advanced their handline to the garage area were the the fire was quickly contained. Eng-29 and Res-66 instructed to assist with ventilation and stretching a back up line. The fire was placed under control at 01:20 hrs. Special Thanks to Glenn's Towing October 30, 2007 The members of the company would like to send a special thanks out to Glenn's towing for providing a deli tray for drill. This was dropped of for the help we provided Glenn and his crew cleaning up after the accident on Bristol Road. October 28, 2007 The department was dispatched to a accident with injuries in the 3400 block of Bristol Road around 0700. Squad 78, Engine 29, and BC 29 assisted police and Glenn's towing with clean up of the roadway. 1 female driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Poker Run For Fallen Police Officers
October 27, 2007 The Poker Run for Fallen Police Officers stopped by Station 29 to get a card for their hand. The stops were arraigned by The Patriot Guard Riders to be in towns where Police officers gave their lives. On September 22nd, 1986 Bucks County Sheriff Deputy Thomas Bateman and Deputy George Warta were returning to their patrol area after leaving a prisoner at the jail. They were involved in a traffic accident on Street Road in Warrington Township. Their vehicle went out of control and they were struck head on by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Both were killed in the accident. May they rest in peace and never be forgotten.
Special Gift From Chief Harvey
October 7, 2007 Chief Chris Harvey presented the department with 2 chrome plated bells for Squad 78 and Engine 29. These bells will be engraved and mounted on each rig. They are a symbol of all the hard work and dedication from all the members past, present and future of this department.

October 7, 2007 Members of the Company attended the Bucks County Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial this morning and the candle light service last night. This memorial has the names of firefighters who have died in the line of duty engraved on it. Fire police Captain William Bell was killed in the Line of Duty on January 19, 1964. He was directing traffic at an auto accident on Rt. 611 in front of the Warrington Skating Rink, when he was struck and killed by a car. Robert Bell, Williams' son and one of our life members, and his family were also in attendance. Rest in peace Brother...You will never be forgotten.
Congratulation to FF Tim Campbell
The officers and members of the Warrington Fire Company No.1 would like to congratulate Fire Fighter Tim Campbell on successful completion of the Temple Ambler Law Enforcement Academy. Tim graduated with his fellow 13 cadets of the 2007-01 class on October 4th, 2007 after 830 hours of intense, full-time police training. We all wish you the best of luck with your future career!
